Marvel Animation, Marvel's in-house animation studio, has announced yet another animated series it is working on. This time Thor's up to the plate and he swings a bad ass lightening hammer, not a puny bat.

Marvel is producing 26 half hour episodes which are planned to beginning airing in the Fall of 2010, the same year that Thor will make his big screen debut. If you've been observant, you'll notice that Marvel seems to put out an animated series for each of their new movies. This years Iron Man has a cartoon starting this spring along with Wolverine and the X-Men premiering around the Wolverine movie's opening weekend. Also announced is an Avengers series coming out in 2011, the same year as the Captain America movie and the Avengers movie.

Although with Black Panther's cartoon is still coming out, with no big screen counterpart (at least that we know of yet), so Marvel may still have a surprise waiting for us.

No network is currently announced for Thor but Nicktoons is airing Wolverine and the X-men and Iron Man so they seem like the place that'll have it.
